PYREX VISION. The SS 2013 collection of Virgil Abloh, the mastermind inventive director behind Kanye West, has just launched at RSVP Gallery. The clothing are inspired by Virgil’s highschool time and are “sorted” in different teams. Yellow, White, Blue, Red and Black team. I truly like this line, remembers me of Les Plus Dores, but Iam rather positive that their principal inspiration came from Virgil’s very first Pyrex Tees. I loved them very considerably, cool print on the front, Pyrex print on the back, really decent. Nonetheless the primary motive of the new line is a religious print. Is Virgil trying to go after Givenchy? They lately launched their christian inspired Madonna collection. Anyway. I for myself will not get anything from the PYREX collection, not since i don’t like it, but due to the fact the rates are crazily ridiculous. 150$ for a basic T-Shirt ? 550 for a shirt with PYREX 23 on the back? Sorry Virgil but i can get Raf Simons or Rick Owens for these prices.  It’s just not for me, i enjoy PYREX and i won’t “rather” acquire Givenchy or Marcelo Burlon Tees, even although they are much better in top quality and cut, due to the fact i still consider 60$ + for a T-shirt is to much. I can understand if Givenchy tends to make a Silk Tee for top dollars, it’s their issue. But a typical T-shirt for more than 100$ ? That’s just sad. Whoever has adequate cash to do so, acquire his stuff, perhaps it keeps him going. But i won’t, it’s merely as well a lot, PYREX is a fucking incredible Streetwear brand, or at least it could be, if it was less costly. Take a appear at Supreme, they aren’t overpricing things either even though it is limited like hell. Sorry for the funds bitchin, it shouldn’t be a issue but sadly it is. I would adore the get my hands on 1 of the old PYREX Tees, with the V on the front, just a dope shirt. All in all, i love what Virgil is performing, it is one thing new, anything most of the folks wouldn’t have considered “cool” in the  past, but some thing that is so “cool” now. Virgil, 1 of your biggest fans, hold it going and good luck with the brand.
